    Director of Global Business Development

    Our company dedicated to creating top-level espresso products that are affordable and produce professional-quality espresso. Founded on the success of the original Espresso Maker, a fully manual espresso press that rivals shot quality of any machine on the market, our products are now available globally as the company continues to seek new and refreshing ways to Make Espresso Right.

    Role Overview:

    We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Director to lead the expansion of the company’s global footprint, with a core focus on International Sales. This role will be instrumental in identifying new market opportunities, qualifying leads, building prospect pipelines, and driving revenue growth. You’ll focus on discovering and developing key partnerships—particularly across Europe—to expand our distribution footprint and elevate our global presence. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on contributor to our B2B revenue growth, collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing Leadership, and demonstrating expertise in international business development, specifically in the specialty coffee industry.

    As Business Development Director, you will report directly to the CEO.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Growth & Execution

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive international sales strategy, focusing on growth through distributor networks in international markets.

    • Identify and evaluate key market opportunities across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South America.

    • Build tailored expansion roadmaps by region, factoring in cultural, economic, and competitive landscapes.

    • Develop a robust pipeline of qualified leads and distributor prospects.

    • Establish relationships with potential distribution partners, resellers, and B2Bcustomers.

    • Represent us at international trade shows and industry events as needed.

    • Act as a brand champion for us, showcasing the company’s story, products, and capabilities to key stakeholders.

    • Identify potential collaboration opportunities and provide insights to leadership and marketing teams.

    • Work collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing team.

     

    Market Intelligence:

    • Continue to analyze competitive landscapes, emerging trends, and consumer behavior in each market.

    • Report insights and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

    • Stay informed about market trends, customer preferences, and hospitality industry developments at the local, regional, and international levels.

     

    Requirements:

    • 7+ years of global sales experience in consumer goods or premium lifestyle products; experience in specialty coffee is highly preferred.

    • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through distributor and partner networks across international markets.

    • Strong understanding of the international B2C retail and eCommerce

    • Knowledge of international logistics and supply chain management to facilitate growth in international markets

    • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.

    • Experience with CRM and sales management tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).

    • Willingness to travel internationally as needed

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Passion for coffee and familiarity with the specialty coffee community.

    • Previous success in scaling a premium consumer brand internationally.
