    About the Role

Parallax Studios is seeking a strategic, well-connected, and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead our growth efforts and expand our footprint across film, television, games, theme parks, and experiential industries. This is a high-impact, full-time role focused on identifying, developing, and securing new client relationships and project opportunities.

You’ll build and manage a robust pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities, nurture long-term client relationships, and collaborate with leadership to shape and execute our growth strategy. We’re looking for someone who thrives on forging connections, understands the nuances of creative services, and can position Parallax as a go-to partner for studios, networks, and IP holders.

Above all, we’re looking for a proactive dealmaker, someone who sees opportunities where others don’t, opens doors others can’t, and acts as a true catalyst for expansion and visibility across the industry.

    Responsibilities:

Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue high-potential business opportunities through a combination of strategic outreach, networking, and inbound lead management.

Lead discovery conversations with prospective clients to surface project goals, timelines, and scope, then align internal teams for next steps.

Drive the development of winning business pitches, including RFI/RFP responses and assembling internal collaborators across departments.

Craft strategic briefings and client-facing presentations that reflect deep research, clear positioning, and alignment with client priorities.

Develop tailored proposals and pitch materials that translate client needs into clear scopes, estimates, and strategic plans.

Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and sales milestones on a quarterly basis.

Represent Parallax Studios at key industry events and conferences, driving visibility, lead generation, and relationship-building.

Collaborate on high-impact award submissions that amplify Parallax’s creative credentials and client work.

Cultivate and activate a high-value network of creative executives, producers, and studio partners to drive new and recurring business.

Develop deep fluency in Parallax Studios’ offerings, case studies, and positioning, becoming a trusted voice in articulating our value to clients across film/TV, gaming, experiential, and themed entertainment.

Partner closely with creative and production teams to ensure client expectations are clearly understood and translated into exceptional deliverables.

    Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of business development or sales leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, preferably within entertainment, gaming, creative services, or an agency setting.

Robust, up-to-date network of decision-makers and key stakeholders in the film and TV industry. A plus if candidate also has strong contacts in the video game industry.

A strong understanding of visual development, concept design, and visualization pipelines and how they fit into the larger production or development process.

Familiarity with CRM tools and a proven ability to build and maintain productive business relationships at all levels.

You’re a great fit if you:

Thrive in fast-paced, creatively driven environments where no two days are the same

Balance big-picture thinking with strong tactical execution and follow-through

Communicate with clarity, empathy, and confidence across teams and stakeholders

Anticipate client needs and industry shifts before they hit the radar

Build long-term partnerships through credibility, responsiveness, and insight

Are energized by outreach and enjoy crafting thoughtful, personalized opportunities

Value collaboration and transparency in both internal teamwork and external engagements

Flexible work from home options available.
