Peggy’s Home Care is seeking an exceptional Director of Business Development—a strategic, relationship-focused leader who can accelerate our growth and strengthen our presence throughout Monterey County and surrounding areas.

What You Will Lead Build, manage, and expand strategic referral partnerships with hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, clinics, and case managers
Develop, host, and optimize networking and community engagement events
Serve as the professional face of Peggy’s Home Care—known, trusted, and respected in the community
Identify new market opportunities to expand our footprint across Monterey County and beyond
Align growth initiatives with operational and clinical leadership for seamless execution
Monitor KPIs, analyze referral trends, and continuously refine outreach strategy for maximum impact
What We Require (Non‑Negotiables) 3+ years of proven success in sales/business development (healthcare experience strongly preferred)
Strong desire to master post-acute care, including home health, home care, and private duty services
Genuine passion for seniors and for serving families during pivotal care transitions
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
High personal integrity, self-motivation, and accountability
Proficiency with CRM/sales reporting systems and calendar/task management

Experience Expectations Minimum:
3–5 years of measurable success in sales, business development, and marketing
Highly Valued:
Previous experience in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, or related healthcare settings
Key Skills:
Proven ability to grow and nurture referral networks
Understanding of local market dynamics and healthcare referral pathways
Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management abilities
Role-Specific Duties
Develop and execute strategic growth plans
Cultivate referral relationships across multiple healthcare verticals
Oversee marketing and community outreach efforts
Track and report KPIs such as admissions, referral conversions, revenue, and retention
Collaborate closely with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Compensation
Competitive base salary: $85,000–$95,000 Plus: A robust, uncapped bonus structure tied to weekly and monthly performance goals. You determine your ceiling.
