Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Director of Clinical Engineering to lead and manage a healthcare facility’s clinical engineering program in Zanesville, OH. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in biomedical services, regulatory compliance, and team management. Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Licensure: Relevant certifications (CBET, CHTM, or similar) preferred.
- Experience:
- 5+ years managing biomedical services in a large healthcare system.
- Proven track record in regulatory compliance (CIHQ, DNV, JCAHO).
- Experience working with C-suite executives on strategic initiatives.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment maintenance and capital planning.
- Budget management and vendor contract negotiation.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the clinical engineering program, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and quality.
- Lead a team of supervisors and technical staff, fostering professional growth.
- Manage equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration processes.
- Drive process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to align biomedical services with patient care goals.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and vendor partnerships.
