    Job Summary

    As Director of Clinical Quality & Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring clinical integrity, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery across all programs. This includes (but not limited to) oversight of treatment planning, data accuracy, audit readiness, staff training/supervision, and adherence to payer and regulatory requirements. This role develops and maintains systems that support clinical excellence, staff competency, and audit readiness.

    You will be expected to maintain strong, objective performance outcomes through measurable indicators of clinical quality, treatment effectiveness, and compliance standards.

    Core Responsibilities

    Clinical Compliance & Audit Readiness

    Ensure all documentation meets payer, BACB, and regulatory standards

    Conduct internal audits of treatment plans, session notes, and data systems

    Identify and correct compliance risks proactively

    Clinical Quality Assurance

    Monitor consistency in program writing and implementation

    Ensure goals align with assessment data (VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS)

    Maintain high standards for data collection and integrity

    Training & Competency Systems

    Develop and oversee RBT and apprentice training systems

    Ensure staff demonstrate competency in clinical procedures

    Maintain ongoing training and performance improvement systems

    System Development

    Create standardized clinical templates, tools, and protocols

    Ensure consistency across all clinicians and cases

    Support continuous improvement of clinical systems

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    Audit success rate and reduction in recoupments

    Documentation accuracy and completeness

    Staff competency and training completion rates

    Consistency in program quality across client

    Staff Supervision & Mentorship:

    Supervise and train behavior therapists and BCBA supervisors to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide effective ABA services.

    Conduct regular team meetings or briefings to discuss updates, address clinical concerns, and review client progress with the team.

    Directly observe therapy sessions to ensure adherence to treatment plans, protocols, and ethical guidelines.

    Provide real-time feedback, guidance, and coaching to behavior technicians and therapists to support professional growth and maintain quality standards.

    Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance staff competence.

    Coordinate staff coverage by addressing absences or scheduling conflicts to ensure adequate staffing for clinic operations.

    Program Development & Client Care:

    Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on comprehensive assessments.

    Review and analyze data collected from therapy sessions to make informed decisions regarding treatment plans, modifications, or adjustments.

    Collaborate with supervising BCBAs to discuss client progress, behavior plans, and program modifications.

    Conduct meetings with clients and their families to provide updates on progress, discuss treatment goals, and address any concerns or questions to ensure client-centered care.

    Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the client's care to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.

    Address clinical concerns or challenges raised by staff or clients, providing guidance to resolve issues related to behavior management or program implementation.

    Qualifications

    Education & Certification:

    Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

    Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required.

    Must be in good standing with the BACB.

    Skills & Experience:

    Extensive experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

    Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams.

    Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    Ability to work in a variety of settings, including clinic, school, home, and community environments.

    Physical ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and engage in physical activities such as standing, kneeling, and running as needed .

    Must have reliable transportation for travel between service locations.

    Must pass a criminal history background check and drug screening.
