    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Compliance to oversee and enhance the regulatory compliance program within a dynamic and growing property & casualty (P&C) insurance company. This individual will ensure our firm and third-party partners remain in full compliance with all applicable industry laws, regulations, and standards. Over time, the Director will also take ownership of loss control and risk management functions to strengthen operational integrity and mitigate risk exposure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the company’s regulatory compliance efforts across all P&C insurance operations.

    • Monitor, assess, and implement federal, state, and industry-specific regulatory requirements.

    • Ensure all third-party vendors (e.g., TPAs, managing GAs) adhere to compliance standards and contractual obligations.

    • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.

    • Prepare reports and provide strategic advice to executive leadership on regulatory updates and risk issues.

    • Collaborate with internal departments, including underwriting, claims, and legal, to support compliance goals.

    • Oversee and eventually assume leadership of the loss control and risk management functions.

    • Manage a team of 3 compliance professionals, and coordinate with a claims team of 3.

    • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5–7 years of compliance experience within the property & casualty insurance industry.

    • Deep understanding of insurance regulatory frameworks, policies, and risk management principles.

    • Experience working with or managing third-party service providers in an insurance context.

    • Proven leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring teams.

    • Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.

    • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC, CRCM) a plus.

    • Deeply knowledgeable in P&C insurance compliance.

    • Able to balance high-level strategy with hands-on operational oversight.
