    JOB SUMMARY

    We are seeking a Director of Cybersecurity Risk Engagements to lead delivery on a large-scale, multi-site government IT security risk assessment engagement. This role owns overall engagement direction, client relationship management, and technical governance across a statewide assessment covering more than 30 independent government entities. The ideal candidate is a senior cybersecurity professional who is equally comfortable directing complex field operations and briefing government executives on findings and recommendations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Direct engagement execution across a large portfolio of independent government entities; serve as the single named point of contact for the client's Contract Manager
    • Provide technical governance for security- and infrastructure-sensitive work, including regulatory framing relevant to CJIS, FERPA, and/or HIPAA where applicable
    • Lead client briefings and represent engagement findings and recommendations at the executive level
    • Coordinate with the engagement's Methodology Authority/QA Lead to ensure delivery decisions do not compromise assessment consistency or defensibility
    • Serve as final internal escalation point for schedule risk, resourcing gaps, or client-side issues
    • Own overall throughput accountability across a multi-team field deployment operating on a fixed, deadline-driven schedule

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 10+ years leading multi-site or enterprise-scale cybersecurity engagements, with direct government or public-sector client experience
    • Demonstrated experience as technical lead or delivery owner on a complex, deadline-driven, multi-workstream engagement
    • Working knowledge of CJIS, FERPA, and/or HIPAA regulatory frameworks as they intersect with IT infrastructure and data security
    • Demonstrated ability to brief senior government stakeholders and manage high-visibility client relationships
    • Willingness and ability to pass Level 2 background screening (Livescan/FBI) prior to accessing confidential information
    • Enrollment in / compliance with E-Verify requirements

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Prior title history at the President, Managing Director, or VP of Technology level
    • Prior experience leading digital identity, cloud migration, or zero-trust architecture initiatives for government clients
    • Experience managing subcontractor teams across multiple firms on a single prime contract
