    QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or other related field is required or three years or more experience working in direct victim’s services with survivors of domestic violence. Must have knowledge in victim’s services, dynamics of domestic violence, victims’ rights and trauma informed care. Must successfully complete all required training.

    Job Description:

    The Director of Domestic Violence Services is responsible for overseeing and leading all aspects of domestic violence shelter and outreach programs. This includes ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery, supervising staff, maintaining compliance with agency policies and funding requirements, and fostering collaborative relationships within the community. The Director plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for survivors and serves as a key member of the leadership team.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Program Leadership & Oversight

    Lead and manage a 24/7 certified domestic violence program, including the emergency shelter, 24-hour helpline, and outreach services.

    Ensure all services are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and aligned with agency standards.

    Oversee shelter operations including client intake, case management, safety planning, and exit procedures.

    Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal guidelines, including confidentiality and ethical care standards.

    Monitor program performance and implement improvements as needed.

    Staff Supervision & Development

    Recruit, train, and supervise shelter and outreach staff, ensuring coverage that meets client needs.

    Provide regular supervision, support, and performance evaluations.

    Implement strategies to prevent and reduce vicarious trauma and staff burnout.

    Lead staff development through ongoing training and professional growth opportunities.

    Client Services

    Support service delivery including housing assistance, legal advocacy, safety planning, and access to community resources.

    Oversee the implementation of in-shelter programming such as support groups, education sessions, and children’s services.

    Monitor and evaluate the quality of client care and service documentation.

    Manage the Victim Compensation Relocation Assistance Program.

    Community Engagement & Advocacy

    Represent Quigley House in community partnerships, task forces, and professional trainings.

    Facilitate community education on domestic violence, victim services, and agency offerings.

    Promote the mission of Quigley House through advocacy, public speaking, and strategic partnerships.

    Leadership & Strategic Planning

    Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on agency planning and service delivery strategy.

    Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to cross-departmental projects.

    Assist in grant reporting, data collection, and outcome tracking for domestic violence services.

    Support development and philanthropic efforts through relationship building and community engagement.
