  • Responsibilities

This is a high-urgency operational mandate for a battle-tested leader to command the emergency services division of a commercial property restoration platform. The organization is a 24/7 first-responder to fire, water, mold, and catastrophe events, serving commercial property owners, facility managers, and insurance carriers across a high-growth regional footprint.

The incoming Director of Emergency Services will own the performance of a response-driven operation where speed directly determines profitability. The mandate is to drive job margin, cycle time, and resource mobilization while managing the complex web of carrier relationships, TPA compliance, and estimating accuracy that defines restoration economics. This is a role for a leader who thrives in high-stakes, unpredictable, mobilization-intensive environments.

    KEY LEADERSHIP MANDATES

    • Division P&L Ownership: Own the emergency services P&L, with direct accountability for job margin, EBITDA, and revenue growth.
    • Rapid Mobilization: Drive 24/7 response readiness and resource mobilization to capture high-margin emergency and catastrophe work.
    • Carrier & TPA Relationships: Manage insurance carrier and third-party administrator relationships to protect referral flow and program compliance.
    • Estimating Accuracy: Institutionalize Xactimate estimating discipline to maximize approved scope and protect margin on every claim.
    • Cycle Time & WIP Control: Drive job cycle time, work-in-progress management, and collections discipline to accelerate cash conversion.
    • Labor & Subcontractor Capacity: Manage internal crews and a subcontractor network to flex capacity against volatile, event-driven demand.
    • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure rigorous documentation and TPA compliance to protect billing integrity and limit denied claims.
    • Field Leadership Development: Recruit and develop project managers and field supervisors capable of leading under high-pressure conditions.

    IDEAL EXECUTIVE PROFILE

The successful candidate is an operations leader with a background in property restoration, disaster recovery, or comparable 24/7 emergency-response field services. You possess a verifiable record of owning a restoration P&L, improving job margin and cycle time, and managing carrier/TPA relationships. You are fluent in Xactimate and the economics of insurance-driven restoration work, with the resilience to lead a high-tempo emergency operation.

    WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY DISTINCT

This role offers command of a high-margin emergency division in a fast-growing market prone to high-frequency loss events. Backed by an established carrier network and operational infrastructure, you will have the platform to drive both margin and growth. It is a high-accountability, high-reward seat with a clear path toward senior operational leadership.
