Adobe is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Engineering for Content and Operations to lead the technical strategy and execution for the next generation of content platforms, shaping how we source, deliver, and scale content for our creative products . This is a pivotal role bridging content innovation with engineering execution, enabling Adobe Stock, Express, and Firefly to thrive in the AI-powered content era. In addition to leading content platform development, you will be accountable for the day-to-day operations and security of CCM Organization-ensuring performance, reliability, and availability for Adobe Stock, Behance, and Content.

You’ll lead a global engineering organization, partnering closely with content strategy, product, and business teams to build scalable, intelligent systems that power content discovery, sourcing, and delivery across Adobe’s ecosystem. You’ll be instrumental in evolving our platform architecture, integrating AI capabilities, and ensuring high-quality, performant systems that fuel content acquisition, processing, and delivery experience. You'll oversee complex systems that support contributor onboarding, asset submission, metadata enrichment, and high-volume payouts, with strong emphasis on security, fraud detection, and operational reliability. Our platform handles millions of new assets each week, and your leadership will be key in scaling it to meet growing demand.

We’re looking for a senior engineering leader with deep experience in content ecosystems, cloud platforms, and AI-driven workflows-someone who blends technical rigor with strategic vision and thrives in a cross-functional environment.

    What You'll Do

    • Define and lead the engineering strategy for content platforms supporting Adobe Stock, Express, Firefly, and related products.
    • Work with architects to scale content infrastructure that enables diverse, high-quality assets across modalities (e.g., images, video, 3D, audio).
    • Partner with Content Strategy and Product teams to drive platform capabilities supporting business model transformation, data governance, content monetization, and AI integration.
    • Oversee operations, security, and compliance across Content, Adobe Stock and Behance.
    • Drive engineering excellence in reliability, scalability, and performance.
    • Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers and managers, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Champion AI-driven engineering approaches for more automated workflows in our content pipeline.
    • Represent engineering in cross-functional executive forums, helping align technical execution with strategic priorities.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in engineering director role managing large, globally distributed teams.
    • Proven success delivering scalable cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS).
    • Experience building and operating large-scale content platforms, digital marketplaces, or media systems with rich metadata and search capabilities.
    • Strong understanding of AI and ML workflows as they apply to content processing, tagging, sourcing, and delivery.
    • Experience collaborating across matrixed organizations to influence and deliver on business goals.
    • Deep appreciation for both creative and commercial value in content ecosystems.
    • Demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, and mentor diverse technical talent and build inclusive teams.
    • Executive-level communication skills, with a track record of influencing business and product strategy.
