Insero Talent Solutions is leading a confidential search for a Director of Finance to join a growing team.
The Director of Finance lead the financial strategy and operations of a well-established team and company, and play a critical leadership role, partnering closely with executive leadership to guide financial planning, performance management, and long-term strategic initiatives.
The Director of Finance will oversee core financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. The role will also provide strategic analysis to leadership, helping inform decisions related to growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
This position requires a hands-on financial leader who can operate both strategically and operationally, developing long-term financial plans while also ensuring strong financial controls, reporting accuracy, and effective day-to-day financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategy aligned with organizational goals and long-term growth.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic insight to support executive decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reporting, forecasts, and performance insights to senior leadership.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting processes, and internal financial controls.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts across the organization.
- Monitor financial performance across service lines, business units, and client engagements.
- Ensure effective cash flow management, financial planning, and capital allocation.
- Oversee revenue cycle processes including billing operations, collections, and financial system management.
- Analyze productivity and financial performance metrics related to senior professionals and leadership compensation models.
- Coordinate financial planning processes related to profit allocation and capital contributions.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with tax, audit, insurance, and retirement plan requirements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and advisory partners.
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team while fostering collaboration across administrative departments.
- Partner with operations and technology teams to improve financial systems, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, required.
- MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Experience overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions.
- Background supporting financial operations within a professional services environment, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership on financial strategy and planning.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across multiple departments.
- High level of integrity, ethics, professionalism, and accountability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
