The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring quality care to clients and patients. In addition, they will also be responsible for training and leading their employees and the supervision of Interns and Support Staff. The Clinical Director will be responsible for organizing and overseeing people and programs for LVAS Integrated Clinical Services. The Clinical Director’s duties will also be to manage technology, plan and implement budgets and strategies. This person must have a deep respect for policies and ethics and be able to inspire others. The goal is to ensure the smooth running of the Clinical Department aiming for maximum performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
· Provides clinical assessments.
· Works in collaboration with the behavioral health consults as a member of the interdisciplinary team assigned to the facility.
· As a resource to facility staff, provides consultation on nursing practice and psychopharmacology as appropriate.
· Participates in case reviews, consultations, and utilization reviews.
· Responds to urgent calls from the facility and facilitates problem solving.
· Maintains accurate records on consumers that are treated.
· Maintains accurate daily records for billing purposes and submits in a timely manner as directed.
· Provides in – service education at the facilities as needed.
· Participates in staff and facility clinical/medical meetings as needed. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Advanced practice nurse degree from an accredited university – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) preferred.
· Holds a valid practitioner license in state practicing in accordance with the regulations of the state of Pennsylvania.
· State controlled substance license or in the process of obtaining it.
· DEA Certificate or in the process of obtaining it, as applicable.
· Holds a collaborative agreement or attestation with physician in accordance with the regulations of Pennsylvania.
· Must be able to become credentialed with Medicare and Medicaid and other payers as necessary.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
· Masters Degree.
HOURS OF WORK
Full Time ( including weekends as needed)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and work instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with consumers and staff.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have customer service skills
Must be able to work independently
CERTIFICATES, LICENSE, REGRISTRATION
Must be licensed and credentialed in PA.
