    A top-tier highly respected financial services organization is seeking a motivated Director of Investment Accounting & Reporting to lead and oversee key reporting, regulatory compliance, and technical accounting efforts related to the company’s investment portfolio.

    *Hybrid 3 days/week in office*

    *$225-$260K Total (Base + Full Annual Bonus) + Additional Equity Plan*

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead accurate and timely preparation of all investment-related financial filings, including NAIC schedules, footnotes, and disclosures.
    • Interpret and implement accounting policies in accordance with statutory guidance and updates.
    • Manage regulatory filings; ensure compliance with the Purposes & Procedures Manual.
    • Stay current with changes in regulatory guidance (NAIC, ACLI, NASVA, RBC, etc.) and communicate implications across internal teams.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders across Accounting Policy, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Client Relations, and Portfolio Management.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for Statutory Bond Principals and regulatory treatment of complex assets.
    • Assist with international statutory reporting requirements and ensure proper application of country practices.
    • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of onshore and offshore investment accounting professionals.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
    • 7–10 years of investment accounting experience
    • Expertise in statutory accounting principles (SAP) and NAIC reporting requirements.
    • Prior experience engaging with NAIC, SVO, ACLI, or similar regulatory bodies.
    • Familiarity with investment accounting systems (e.g., ePAM), Microsoft Excel, and enterprise financial platforms.
    • Strong technical research and documentation skills.
    • Proven leadership ability, including managing teams and working cross-functionally.
  • Compensation
    $260,000 per year
