    Director of Operations
    Western Wisconsin | Full-Time | Direct Hire | M-F 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM $140,000–$160,000 base, with flexibility

    Konik is partnering with a growing, well-established manufacturing company to add a Director of Operations to their leadership team. This role will oversee production, quality, and maintenance functions, driving operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the organization.

    This is a high-impact leadership position focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving capacity, and building a strong, accountable team culture. The Director of Operations will play a key role in aligning production with sales demand, improving quality metrics, and leading strategic operational initiatives.

    Director of Operations Responsibilities

    • Lead day-to-day operations across production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse functions
    • Establish and track KPIs to improve manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and capacity
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, and inefficiencies
    • Partner with sales and production control to align capacity with incoming demand and maintain lead times
    • Develop and implement quality goals, reporting systems, and improvement strategies
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other regulatory standards
    • Evaluate capital equipment needs and provide ROI-driven recommendations
    • Oversee facility operations, equipment maintenance, and overall infrastructure performance
    • Lead, develop, and mentor teams while fostering a strong culture of accountability and communication

    Director of Operations Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 5–10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Millwork or Building Materials)
    • 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing production or operations teams
    • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, and operational metrics
    • Experience with capital planning, equipment evaluation, and process optimization
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment
