Director of Nursing – 50 Bed Skilled Nursing / LTC Facility

Location: South Dakota

Pay: $38–$63/hr (based on experience) | Sign-on bonus up to $25k

Position Overview:
Lead nursing operations for a 50-bed skilled nursing facility, overseeing 25+ nursing staff. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain survey readiness, and provide high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, hire, and manage nursing staff; oversee scheduling and performance.

• Lead QA/CQI initiatives and participate in state/federal surveys.

• Manage EMR system, including training and documentation oversight.

• Develop and manage budgets; ensure regulatory compliance.

• Promote resident-centered care and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license for South Dakota (unencumbered).

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Minimum 5 years RN experience, with prior long-term care experience preferred.

• BLS/CPR certification required.

• Strong leadership, communication, and management skills.

Supervisory:
Directly supervises nursing staff; responsible for hiring, training, and performance management.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform essential duties in a clinical environment.
