About the Role: As a Director of Nursing, you provide overall planning, direction, coordination, management, and supervision of all nursing and professional services in conjunction with the Administrator. Ensures quality care by reviewing and assessing each service.
"Director of Nursing" means a registered nurse who is a direct employee, of the agency and who is a graduate of an approved school of nursing and is licensed in this state; who has at least 1year of home health experience and at least1 year of supervisory experience as a registered nurse and who is responsible for overseeing the professional nursing and home health aid delivery of services of the agency.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise or manage, directly or through qualified subordinates, all personnel who provide direct patient care.
Ensure that the professional standards of community nursing practices are maintained by all nurses providing care. Ensure HIPAA guidelines and procedures are maintained.
Maintain and adhere to agency procedures and patient care policy manuals.
Establish service policies and procedures in compliance with state health statutes and administrative rules, which generally conform to recommended guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for safety, universal precautions, and infection control procedures.
Recommending and coordinating community services as necessary.
Collaborating with the primary doctor to ensure seamless plan implementation.
Employ and evaluate nursing personnel.
Coordinate patient care services.
Sets and adopts policies for, and keeps records of, criteria for admission to service, case assignments, and case management.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in case management within a home healthcare setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in home healthcare.
Continually strives to broaden his/her knowledge through formal education, conferences, attendance at workshops, or continues with active participation in professional and related organizations and individual research and reading.

Salary: From $75,000 to $90,000 a year
