    Director of Nursing (DON)

    We have recently partnered with a very progressive, well-run, and financially stable hospice organization. This organization is committed to patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families.

    Schedule:

    • Full-Time, Salaried Position
    • Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    • Flexible availability required for operational needs
    • Occasional after-hours and weekend support as needed
    • On-call rotation required for clinical and administrative matters

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide clinical leadership for all hospice operations, ensuring high-quality, safe, and consistent patient care
    • Oversee clinical departments including home care, admissions, education, and interdisciplinary teams
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, certification, licensing, and regulatory requirements
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise clinical managers and directors across the organization
    • Collaborate with leadership on staffing, scheduling, and operational planning
    • Participate in budgeting, financial oversight, and resource allocation for clinical services
    • Drive quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and professional development programs
    • Serve as a clinical expert, role model, and advocate for patient-centered care
    • Support staff retention, engagement, and performance management strategies
    • Step in for senior clinical leadership responsibilities when needed

    Requirements:

    • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Georgia
    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred (Master’s degree preferred)
    • Minimum of 3 years of senior-level management experience required
    • At least 3 years of hospice experience required
    • Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and compliance standards
    • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams
    • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
    • Experience with budgeting, operations, and performance management preferred
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
