    Director of Nursing (DON)

    Elevated Hires is recruiting a **Director of Nursing (DON)** for an opportunity in healthcare technology. This role is designed for an experienced professional who can deliver high-quality work, collaborate across teams, and turn complex requirements into practical results. The position is based in Queens, the organization.

     

    ### Key Responsibilities

     

    \- Oversee the daily operations and clinical management of the nursing department.

    \- Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, CMS, and the organization State Department of Health (DOH) regulations.

    \- Provide direct clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring, and support to all nursing department staff.

    \- Maintain continuous facility readiness for state, federal, and regulatory surveys and inspections.

    \- Manage department staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and oversee ongoing clinical staff competencies.

    \- Develop, review, and implement evidence-based nursing policies, clinical procedures, and operational best practices.

    \- Active leader in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and quality initiatives.

    \- Conduct regular clinical rounds to monitor resident care delivery, clinical outcomes, and staff performance.

    \- Address and resolve staff concerns, clinical complaints, and grievances in a professional and timely manner.

    \- Collaborate closely with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to foster a positive, high-performing care environment.

     

    ### Qualifications

     

    \- Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of the organization required.

    \- Leadership Experience: Previous Director of Nursing (DON) or senior nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting required.

    \- Clinical Experience: Extensive background and clinical experience in skilled nursing and long-term care environments required.

    \- Regulatory Expertise: Strong, in-depth knowledge of the organization State DOH regulations, CMS requirements, and survey processes.

    \- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with SigmaCare EMR is strongly preferred.

    \- Core Competencies: Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational efficiency, and high professional standards.
