JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, including staff management, regulatory compliance, and patient care initiatives. This leader will play a key role of fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork across the nursing staff. 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring high quality, patient-centered care. 
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitments, and retention of nursing staff. 
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies, procedures, and regulations. 
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures. 
- Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes. 
- Monitor quality assurance programs and lead continuous improvement initiatives. 
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively. 
- Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff to support professional growth and retention. 
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and practices and effectively communicate and train team
- Conduct regular training sessions for nurse staff on best practices in patient care and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience with management capabilities 
- Proficient in document review process
- Deep knowledge of medical terminology & regulatory guidelines
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) 
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (CMS, state health department, Joint Commission, etc)
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
