    Director of Nursing (DON) – Skilled Nursing Facility
    Location: Denton, MD

    The Position: As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to the nursing team, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. You will foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement while driving clinical excellence and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced post-acute and long-term care environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all clinical operations to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care.
    • Drive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives to enhance outcomes.
    • Conduct regular rounds, audits, and evaluations of nursing care and resident records.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve care planning and outcomes.
    • Develop, implement, and update nursing policies, procedures, and educational programs.
    • Serve as a clinical resource, providing coaching and mentoring to nursing staff.
    • Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records, ensuring efficient reporting systems.

    Qualifications:

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland (or compact state license).
    • BSN or MSN strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in post-acute or long-term care.
    • Proven expertise in geriatric nursing and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to adapt to changing clinical and operational needs with innovative solutions.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Competitive salary range: $115,000 – $123,000 per year.
