The Glen is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) who is resident & family focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to lead a high-performing clinical team of RN’s, LPN’s, and CNA’s. The Director of Nursing (DON) is instrumental in shaping the care experience for our residents and guiding our nursing staff with vision, integrity, and skill.

Your Impact as Director of Nursing:
Ensure nursing services meet all company, local, state, and federal guidelines
Oversee nursing staff recruitment, onboarding, and performance
Step in to assist on the floor when needed to ensure consistent care
Review and approve payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance
Monitor resident records for accuracy and proper documentation
Coordinate development of individualized care plans with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Guarantee timely access to equipment, supplies, and resources
Coach and mentor nursing staff to support continuous improvement and resident outcomes
Develop positive employee relations, incentives, and recognition programs
Oversees and delivers in-service educational programs designed to equip nursing staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide nursing, nursing related services, and highest level of compassionate, quality of care to each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Required Qualifications:
Registered Nurse licensure in Louisiana
Long term care experience preferred
Minimum three years of management or supervisory experience
People-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
Must be able to work overtime as required
Well organized and self-motivated
Computer skills appropriate to job functions
Physical Demands:
Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 90 pounds.
Extensive walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping
Must be physically able to work extended hours beyond normal work hours
