Director of Operations

Our client is a direct-to-consumer (DTC) supplements brand seeking a Director of Operations to join as a foundational leader. The founding team brings a unique blend of elite operating and growth experience. The business is positioned to scale rapidly and is looking for an operator who can build and execute the operational backbone from the ground up.

This leader will own and scale all core operational functions, including supply chain, manufacturing, fulfillment, and logistics. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments and is eager to build systems, teams, and processes that support rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end operations across manufacturing, 3PL, fulfillment, and logistics
• Build and manage relationships with contract manufacturers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners
• Drive COGS optimization and margin improvement, balancing cost, quality, and speed
• Develop and implement scalable operational infrastructure, systems, and processes
• Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain management
• Ensure operational readiness to support aggressive growth across DTC channels
• Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor performance and efficiency
• Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in real time
• Partner closely with founders on strategic planning and execution

Qualifications:

• 7–15+ years of experience in operations within DTC supplements, nutraceuticals, or functional food/beverage brands
• Proven track record of scaling operations in a high-growth, early-stage environment
• Deep experience managing 3PLs, contract manufacturers, and supply chains
• Strong understanding of unit economics, COGS, and margin optimization
• Highly hands-on mindset; comfortable operating both strategically and tactically
• Demonstrated ability to build processes from scratch and iterate quickly
• Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and execution-focused
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments

Compensation: $120,000-170,000 plus benefits
