What You’ll Do
- Design and implement firm-wide operational systems and workflows that enable growth and independence from founder-led oversight.
- Redesign the client onboarding experience to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Lead the optimization of billing, collections, and reporting cycles to improve financial transparency and consistency.
- Build KPI dashboards and reporting systems that reinforce accountability and visibility across departments.
- Support and lead internal teams, manage vendor relationships, and foster a culture of ownership and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with the founder to uphold vision and values while executing on day-to-day priorities.
- Identify and evaluate how automation and light AI tools can streamline operations while maintaining compliance in a CPA environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading operations in a small to mid-sized business, ideally within a finance, legal, or professional services setting.
- Strong systems orientation with a track record of designing and implementing internal processes from the ground up.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to galvanize teams and communicate the 'why' and the 'what.'
- Comfort with operational tools such as QuickBooks, AppFolio, Excel, and other workflow software.
- A pragmatic, street-smart thinker who gets things done and is energized by solving operational puzzles.
- No CPA required – but must be fluent in business operations and familiar with the compliance rhythms of professional services.
