    The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction operations, from pre-construction planning through project completion. This individual ensures that sales goals are achieved, and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Director will lead project directors, construction directors, and trade partners while collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.

    Responsibilities:

    Lead and manage all phases of the preconstruction sales process in partnership with the marketing and business development teams.

    Lead and manage all phases of construction projects across multiple sites.

    Lead and manage all phases of the project financial life cycle.

    Develop and implement construction strategies, policies, and procedures.

    Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.

    Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.

    Manage relationships with clients, vendors, and trade partners.

    Recruit, mentor, and develop construction sales and management staff.

    Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues.

    Report on project performance to executive leadership.

    Drive continuous improvement and innovation in construction practices.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work/life experience and proven successful track record.

    10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

    Proven track record of leading successful construction sales team efforts

    Proven track record of managing large-scale or complex commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.

    Strong knowledge of construction project finance.

    Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

    Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

    Proficiency in project sales, preconstruction, management, and finance software.

    PMP or similar certification is a plus.
