    Director of Planning & Buying

We’re partnered with a fast-growing DTC apparel brand based in West Hollywood, known for high-velocity drops, disciplined inventory management, and a seriously loyal community. They’re scaling and looking for a Director of Planning & Buying to own the end-to-end planning engine — forecasting, line plans, buy execution, and inventory strategy across DTC + Wholesale + Retail.

This is a strategic + hands-on role for someone who can live in the numbers, translate demand into smart buys, and keep inventory tight (because cash flow is a real thing… not a vibe).

    Term: Full-time / Direct Hire
Location: Hybrid / WFH Fridays - West Hollywood, CA
Compensation: $150K–$170K base DOE + bonus + benefits

    What You’ll Own:

    • Forecasting cadence (daily/weekly/monthly/seasonal) across channels
    • Line plans + buy plans tied to sales, margin, inventory turns, and cash protection
    • SKU set-up + pricing coordination once costs are approved (clean data, clean execution)
    • Inventory health: in-stocks, reorders, aging/overstocks, and corrective actions
    • Reporting + monthly business decks that actually drive decisions (not just “pretty slides”)
    • Cross-functional alignment across Merch, Production, Marketing, Finance, Ops, and 3PL/Shopify workflows

    What We’re Looking For:

    • 5-8+ years in Merchandise Planning, Buying, or Financial Planning within apparel / activewear / DTC-first consumer
    • Proven ownership of forecasts + buy plans + inventory strategy at a leadership level
    • Strong retail math: margin, IMU, sell-through, turns, WOS, GMROI (you get it)
    • Experience planning for high-velocity drops (seasonal + limited editions + core replenishment)
    • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets (modeling, scenario planning, clean buy files)
    • Working knowledge of Shopify + 3PL/inventory systems (or adjacent planning tools)
    • Strong cross-functional leadership — can drive alignment, hold teams accountable, and communicate clearly to execs
    • Operates with high ownership: proactive, organized, and comfortable making calls with imperfect data

*US Citizens and Permanent Residents welcome; unable to sponsor at this time*

  • Compensation
    $150,000-$170,000 per year
