    Job Description

    Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Residence Life and Security.

    The Director of Residence Life and Security is an optional live-in position responsible for the overall leadership, administration, safety, and operation of a residential community on campus. The Director of Residence Life and Security serves as the security and judicial officer to provide comprehensive and direct oversight of the College’s student conduct system. The individual must also have the ability to cultivate a positive living and learning environment that promotes student safety, success, and development. An understanding of the importance of safety, security, technology, integrity, innovative thinking, a sense of humor, and the ability to work as a team to increase enrollment and retention in a rural setting is necessary.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Associate degree plus experience related to the position is required.

    Supervisory experience required.

    Security experience required.

    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in college student personnel, higher education administration, counseling or related field preferred.

    Student life/student affairs experience preferred.

    SALARY

    $42,500 to $50,000, depending on credentials and experience.

    Apartment including all basic utilities and some furnishings (approximately a $12,000 value)

    18 Meals per week (Approximately $3,200 value)

    Flexible benefits program includes options for single and family health and dental coverage, life insurance, reimbursement accounts, sick leave and vacation leave allowances, and 21 days of holiday pay. Participation in the state retirement program is required.
