    The Courtyard by Marriott in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Director of Sales (DOS) to join team LinGate. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a great company in their backyard!

    The DOS is responsible for generating top-line revenue by managing all aspects of the Sales and Marketing Department. The Director of Sales is responsible for maximizing the occupancy and the average daily rate of the hotel, while providing excellent guest service and accommodation to all guests. The DOS works closely with the hotel’s preferred accounts and group reservations. Responsible for providing leadership and conducting his/her own prospecting and outside sales calls.

    Responsibilities

    · Create and implement sales plans for increasing corporate client base through consistent solicitations

    · Establish trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the hotel

    · Maximize occupancy and promote yield management to achieve target revenue goals

    · Assist in determining discount rates and special pricing plans

    · Service existing accounts to ensure repeat business

    · Conduct site tours of hotel to prospective clients

    · Reserve meetings and conferences, coordinate groups of all sizes

    · Design and execute marketing plans, budgets, and associated sales efforts

    · Book and service groups, meeting rooms, and conferences

    · Plan and coordinate advertising packages for the hotel

    · Respond to all RFP’s and sales leads

    · Attend and represent the hotel at functions and community events

    · Assist the Front Desk with sales training, sales process, new packages, and hotel promotions

    · Assist management with any other necessary activities to promote excellent guest service and revenue generation
