Director of Sales – Your Impact
You will lead, grow, and professionalize the Company sales function, owning and leading the “get work” function of the Company.
You will:
- Own the process, outcome and results of the sales department as the team leader
- Lead the sales team’s growth strategy, focusing on what drives real profit and building a model that scales as the team expands
- Create clear systems and tools so everyone knows how success is measured and what good looks like
- Monitor KPIs - sales activity, margins, and performance metrics to make sure the team is hitting targets and the business stays healthy
- Shape sales direction and planning so growth is intentional—not accidental
- Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and industry partners, using your network to spark new opportunities
- Align marketing efforts with sales goals—making sure events, campaigns, and outreach directly connect to revenue and relationships
- Keep things improving—whether that’s sales process, technology, or how we connect with customers
Director of Sales - You Have (Required Skills, Experience & Team Fit)
- Proven experience leading, managing, and growing a sales team
- A strategic mindset and a proven ability to design and execute scalable sales systems and playbooks that drive revenue and profitability growth
- A builder mentality – you enjoy fast-growth environments and creating structure and process
- A strong command of CRM tools (Zoho preferred), pricing systems (we use QuoteWerks), and automated social selling platforms
- Relationships with established professional connections in the Sacramento and Northern California IT market
Director of Sales - You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)
- Experience in the managed services, IT or cybersecurity space
- A deep network within the technology space and understanding of SLED market dynamics
- Experience in coaching and delivering complex contract negotiation, SLED procurement processes, and strategic deal structuring
- Prior oversight of marketing strategy initiatives or managing third party marketing company
Director of Sales - Benefits for You
Your compensation will be a base salary plus incentive compensation.
Base salary of $170,000 + incentives, with anticipated OTE at $200,000 ++.
