    Your opportunity: Director of Sales

    Director of Sales - Your Job Duties

    You will manage and grow the entire U.S. sales organization, serving as a trusted partner to the company's President and parent company.

    • Lead and manage the entire U.S. Sales organization, including outside sales executives, account managers, strategic accounts, and inside sales
    • Manage and drive sales for a long, complex cycle (18 months to 3-5 years), particularly in the medical and industrial sectors
    • Design and implement both short-term and long-term sales strategies to drive growth and market penetration
    • Serve as a key strategic partner to the President of the company, contributing to overall business direction
    • Conduct regular reporting and forecasting meetings with company leadership, providing insights into sales performance and market trends
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams in both the U.S. and the parent company in Japan to provide key market feedback and help drive product enhancements
    • Act as the "quarterback" for key deals, actively guiding and supporting the team to bring opportunities to successful closure
    • Cultivate and foster a team culture that emphasizes accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
    • Lead by example with humility, inspiring and motivating the sales organization
    • Travel up to 50% for client meetings and to company headquarters as needed

    Director of Sales - Required Skills, Experience & Fit

    You have:

    • Proven product expertise in embedded wireless computing and networking
    • Ability to effectively present and communicate complex technical content to create customized client solutions
    • Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring a sales organization, particularly within environments characterized by long, technical, and complex sales cycles
    • Successfully collaborated with engineering and product teams to translate client feedback into impactful product enhancements
    • Extensive experience with sales metrics, reporting, and forecasting methodologies
    • Experience taking a risk-oriented approach to decision-making, moving quickly from analysis to action
    • Track record of successfully executing long-term sales strategies

    Director of Sales - Desired, Not Required

    • An Engineering or Sales Engineering background

    The role is based in Santa Ana, CA, or a major market within a two-hour flight of Orange County.

    Director of Sales – For you:

    • Competitive salary: $180,000 - $200,000, Commensurate with your experience + variable compensation
