Position Summary
The Director of Sales & Business Development will provide strategic leadership to Perfection Builders’ community sales specialists, design services, and marketing teams. This leader will unify and align sales processes across markets, including Wichita and Louisville, KY, and ensure exceptional execution of new home sales strategies, community growth, and market expansion goals.
The Director will drive the company’s mission of delivering beautifully crafted, lifestyle-focused homes through strong leadership, clear KPIs, market insight, and a collaborative, positive culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor community sales teams, design services, and marketing teams to achieve sales targets and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Establish, track, and enforce sales KPIs to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Drive new home sales strategies, including inventory management, showcase home positioning, and pricing alignment.
- Oversee business development initiatives for new market opportunities and partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all real estate transactions, contracts, and state/local regulations.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with operations, construction, estimating, and executive teams to align sales goals with broader company objectives.
- Shape and execute marketing strategies and campaigns to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Manage change effectively, ensuring smooth alignment of sales teams in Wichita and Louisville under centralized leadership.
- Build strong relationships with external partners, brokers, and vendors to expand reach and impact.
Performance Objectives
First 3 Months:
- Build trust and credibility with Wichita and Louisville sales teams; hold 1:1s and group meetings to understand team strengths, challenges, and opportunities.
- Assess current sales processes, KPIs, marketing campaigns, and community performance.
- Develop and communicate clear expectations and success metrics for each sales team member.
- Create a transition plan for integrating the Louisville sales team under this role’s leadership with tact and buy-in.
Months 3–6:
- Implement updated sales processes and KPI tracking tools.
- Establish regular reporting rhythms and accountability structures.
- Evaluate showcase home inventory strategy and make recommendations to maximize market demand alignment.
- Partner with Design Services Manager to streamline collaboration with construction and operations.
Months 6–12:
- Deliver consistent month-over-month growth in new home sales across all communities.
- Drive lead generation through enhanced marketing campaigns and community branding.
- Identify new market opportunities and present an actionable growth plan to executive leadership.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-first focus across sales, design, and marketing teams.
