Uptown Alley Manassas
Uptown Alley is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing responsible for our store in Manassas, VA. The DOSM will be responsible for the development and implementation of the total sales effort of the Manassas venue, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing all sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the venue while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Aggressively solicit and generate new Corporate Event Sales
· Proactively solicit and manage Birthday Party Sales
· Solicit, manage and execute all Group Sales activities according to Group Sales planning program calendar
· Establish strong relationships with local DMC's, Incentive Houses, Hotels, Youth Group and Corporate Event/Meeting Planners
· Establish strong relationships with local Visitor and Convention Bureaus and Chambers
· Responsible for all contract management, tracking signed contracts, securing deposits and final client payments according to policies.
· Responsible for overall client satisfaction, ensuring proper and successful execution of all events
· Partner with local management team to develop, manage, and execute against site sales and marketing budgets and annual plans
· Establish and oversee goal setting with direct reports
· Responsible for generating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to Corporate Director
· Maintain integrity and updating of database information
· Oversee and maintain all site Sales and Marketing collateral and material (includes, table top display, banners, posters, table tents, etc.)
· Execute leveraged promotional media events and entertainment
· Manage and execute site OPM deals with operations team
· Oversee and coordinate posts and updates on social media, eblasts and website
· Generate local sponsorship relationships
· Locally manage and execute Public Relations activities
Job Requirements
· Must have a sales, marketing or account rep background
· 3-5 Years in sales related job
· A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or relevant experience
· Experience with budgeting
· Applicant must be out going, personable, self-motivated, & have excellent customer service skills
· Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external customers on a wide variety of issues.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (word, excel, outlook) as well as experience with reservation systems
· Knowledge of BEO's, event execution, and event planning
· Ability to work well as a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
