Director of Seminary Recruitment & Enrollment Management

Position Summary
The Director of Seminary Recruitment & Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership for all student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment operations. This position oversees the full enrollment lifecycle—from prospect identification through matriculation—and ensures that recruitment and enrollment efforts align with the Seminary’s mission, academic priorities, and long-term goals.
This role is divided into:
65% Recruitment & Outreach
35% Admissions, Enrollment Processing, Data Management, Strategy, and Collaboration
The Director serves as a primary ambassador for the Seminary and leads initiatives designed to grow, nurture, and retain a diverse and mission-aligned student body.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning
Develop and refine recruitment and enrollment strategies aligned with institutional goals.
Partner with Seminary leadership to support academic and strategic planning.
Analyze enrollment trends and market data to proactively inform recruitment strategies.
Recruitment & Outreach (65%)
Represent the Seminary at denominational events, church gatherings, conferences, community programs, and recruitment fairs.
Build and maintain relationships with churches, denominational partners, alumni networks, and feeder institutions.
Plan and execute multi-channel recruitment campaigns (digital, print, social media, email).
Conduct presentations, webinars, and informational sessions for prospective students.
Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, communications, and recruitment activity.
Admissions Management (35%)
Oversee timely and mission-aligned processing, evaluation, and communication of all applications.
Serve as the main point of contact for prospective students from inquiry through admission.
Utilize CRM and student information systems to manage applicant records and workflows.
Develop and administer applicant experience surveys for continuous improvement.
Enrollment Services & Student Transition
Collaborate with Financial Aid, Student Services, Registrar, and Academic Affairs to support newly admitted students.
Coordinate new student orientation and transition programs.
Monitor enrollment and retention metrics and support student success initiatives.
Staff Leadership & Development
Hire, train, supervise, and mentor admissions and recruitment staff.
Provide ongoing professional development and performance feedback.
Lead continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives within the enrollment office.
Budget & Resource Management
Develop and manage the recruitment and admissions budget.
Assess the cost-effectiveness of recruitment activities and reallocate resources as needed.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Collect, analyze, and report on recruitment, admissions, and enrollment trends.
Prepare regular updates and recommendations for Seminary leadership.
Use data to drive strategic planning and resource allocation.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and staff to align recruitment efforts with academic programs.
Serve on institutional committees related to enrollment, student success, diversity, and strategic planning.
Support and promote inclusive and mission-centered recruitment practices.
Compliance & Best Practices
Ensure all recruitment, admissions, and enrollment practices comply with institutional policies, state/federal regulations, and accrediting standards.
Stay current on trends in theological education and enrollment management.
Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Experience in student recruitment, admissions, or enrollment management.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using CRM and data-management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in higher education, leadership, business, theology, or a related field.
Experience working in theological education or faith-based institutions.
Marketing, communications, or digital recruitment experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong understanding of enrollment management principles.
Ability to analyze data and translate findings into strategy.
