    Director of Treasury & Collections

Are you a strong candidate who enjoys managing teams, improving processes, and driving results? Do you come from a background in banking, operations, or project management and want to step into a high-impact leadership role?

A large, mission-driven organization in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Director of Treasury & Collections to lead a critical division responsible for managing revenue operations and collections strategy. This role offers a salary of up to $125,000 and is ideal for a hands-on leader who can bring structure, accountability, and new ideas to an established team.

This role is best suited for someone with a background in banking, operations, or project management — not a traditional accounting role. You’ll oversee both treasury operations and collections efforts, including managing the flow of funds, tracking financial activity, and working closely with a third-party collections agency to improve recovery of past-due balances.

The Director will lead a team of approximately 20 employees, providing guidance, structure, and leadership while working closely with senior leadership. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, decisive, and able to figure things out independently, while also improving processes and driving performance across the team.

This is a fully in-person position in Buffalo, NY, with a standard schedule of 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and some flexibility.

    • Identify opportunities for modernization, process improvement, and increased effectiveness
    • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on treasury and collections operations

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, banking, financial services, or project management
    • Strong understanding of financial operations, collections processes, or revenue management
    • Experience working with or alongside third-party vendors or collection agencies is a plus
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities
    • Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions
    • Experience in large or complex organizations is helpful
