Director of Corporate Administration – Your Job Duties
You will lead the centralized administrative hub, acting as a clearinghouse for administrative issues among operating divisions, R&D, and the finance and accounting functions, while also managing all corporate and Human Resources (HR) governance.
Corporate Administration
- Provide strategic oversight and serve as a crucial liaison, proactively identifying the potential impact of business decisions on critical areas such as insurance, benefits, and interdepartmental collaboration
- Direct and manage all aspects of corporate governance, including state registrations, annual filings, and the meticulous maintenance of corporate records
- Lead the management of the company's virtual office infrastructure, including platforms like Google Workspace, and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all corporate accounts, subscriptions, and policies
- Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across administrative functions to drive efficiency and operational excellence
- Facilitate and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Board of Directors, including the preparation of board minutes and meeting packages
- Act as a vital strategic bridge between executive leadership and the wider organization, ensuring seamless communication, fostering cross-functional alignment, and supporting the execution of company-wide initiatives
Human Resources (HR)
- Serve as a primary leadership conduit, facilitating communication and fostering resolution between employees and executive leadership, presenting thoroughly vetted solutions to the C-suite when necessary
- Strategically recommend, design, and oversee the comprehensive administration of all employee benefit programs, including health, retirement (e.g., 401k), and other ancillary benefits
- Direct and ensure the meticulous oversight of all employee records, maintaining their accuracy, security, and compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and internal policies

Director of Corporate Administration - Required Skills, Experience & Culture Fit
You have:
- Exposure working in a startup or small, fast-growing environment, demonstrating comfort with the inherent "chaos” of growth
- Experience leading administrative functions to align all departments with company goals
- Proficiency in innovating operations by suggesting and implementing new ideas and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Proven success as a problem-solver who can anticipate and resolve issues for the C-suite, reducing their burden
- Led strategic action by analyzing complex information with keen attention to detail and anticipating downstream business impacts
- Expertise in managing up to founders or the C-suite
Director of Corporate Administration – Benefits & Pay for You
This is a remote role requiring a home office setup, with occasional travel (less than 10%) to our San Jose, CA lab.
We're flexible on work arrangements, offering a part-time opportunity with hours ranging from 20 to 32 per week. For exceptionally skilled and innovative individuals, there will be ample opportunities to take on increasing responsibilities and contribute significantly to our growth
Your base salary for full-time work (40 hours per week) would be $120,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience. This salary will be prorated according to the agreed-upon hours, in addition to equity compensation.
