Disability Services of the Southwest is seeking a CONTRACTS AND LICENSING ASSISTANT to help support our growing SAN ANTONIO, TX office.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:
· Research and develops the terms and conditions of contracts and updates amendments for the contract.
· Prepares and reviews contracts, proposals, and amendments.
· Will coordinate contract arrangements between the organizations, vendors, and contractors.
· Track market trends to pricing, delivery of goods and services, and relevant terms.
· Manage contracts and licensing by tracking deadlines renewals, performance, and other significant requirements of the organization’s contracts and licensure.
· Updating and maintaining contracts for the organization.
· Will provide information and assistance with request of information on contracts.
· Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
· Observe confidentiality policies at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate’s degree in Business.
· Three years’ experience working contracts and licensing.
· Knowledge of preparing documents and working with Federal and State agencies.
· Experience with meeting deadlines for licensing and complying with regulations.
· Must be competent in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Able to work independently and accomplish department goals and objectives.
· Excellent time management and organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to create and write spreadsheets/reports and meet deadlines.
WORKING HOURS FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE FROM: TUESDAY - FRIDAY 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Founded in 1993, Disability Services of the Southwest (DSSW) is one of the largest providers of support services to people with disabilities and the elderly in the State of Texas. Our services include personal attendant services, nursing and therapies, as well as assistance in home modifications, adaptive aids, job coaching and supported employment. DSSW is licensed by the state to provide a wide range of services to persons with disabilities including Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS), Consumer Directed Services (CDS), Deaf-Blind with Multiple Disabilties (DBMD), as well as private pay care for the elderly and people with disabilities. DSSW's programs are designed to assist persons with disabilities in achieving the greatest degree of independence possible within their community. The evaluation process by a nurse and the interview process by a program director and your independent case manager assure that an individual's needs are identified so that they can be met by the services available in each program. All programs are driven by consumer choice and a people first philosophy.
