A Disability Support Worker assists individuals with disabilities in daily living to promote independence and improve their quality of life. Key duties include providing personal and physical care, helping with household tasks like cooking and cleaning, and offering emotional and social support.

$15hr. Bi-weekly. Pay will go to $18.50 Pls call for more information.

Core responsibilities

Personal care: Assisting with hygiene, dressing, and mobility and transferring.

Household tasks: Helping with cooking, Light cleaning, and shopping.

Social support: Providing companionship, listening to concerns, and helping clients engage in social activities and community events.

Health and wellbeing: Assisting with medication administration and monitoring health.

Essential skills

Empathy and patience: A crucial part of building trust and responding to clients' needs.

Communication: The ability to listen actively and communicate clearly is vital for building strong relationships.

Problem-solving and critical thinking: Essential for handling various situations and client needs.

Adaptability and time management: Needed to respond to changing needs and manage daily schedules effectively.
