Now Hiring: Experienced Fire & Water Restoration Technician

Restoration experience required. Abatement experience is a major advantage.

SERVPRO® Team Carpenter is growing our Fire & Water Division and is looking for experienced, dependable technicians who are ready to hit the ground running.

If you already know restoration, we want to talk to you. Experience in mold, asbestos, or lead abatement is highly valued and will set you apart from other candidates.

This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for professionals who understand job flow, equipment, documentation, customer service, and what it takes to complete a clean, efficient mitigation project from start to finish.

If you take pride in your work, move with urgency, and don't need to be micromanaged, you'll fit right in.

    What You'll Do

Respond to residential and commercial fire and water losses while performing mitigation work safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Set up containment, drying systems, air movers, dehumidifiers, and other mitigation equipment

Perform water extraction, demolition, debris removal, and structural drying

Navigate attics, crawlspaces, roofs, and other confined work areas

Follow IICRC standards, PPE requirements, and safety protocols

Document work with detailed notes, photos, moisture readings, and daily updates

Maintain organized vehicles, equipment, and clean job sites

Deliver excellent customer service during stressful situations

    Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in fire and water mitigation required

Mold, asbestos, or lead abatement experience is highly preferred and considered a significant asset

Understanding of drying principles, psychrometry, equipment setup, and job flow

IICRC certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain them)

Ability to work independently and contribute to a high-performing team

Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency

Professional communication and attention to detail

    Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, in crawlspaces, and other confined areas

Willingness to work in wet, dirty, physically demanding environments

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential

Must successfully pass a background check

    What We Offer

    Competitive pay based on experience

Additional compensation for highly qualified candidates

Clear career advancement opportunities (Lead Technician → Crew Chief → Project Manager/Estimator)

Paid IICRC certifications and continuing education

Strong leadership, organized systems, and defined expectations

    Year-round work in a recession-resistant industry

A team that values accountability, quality, and professionalism
