    We are looking for a highly self-motivated, detail-obsessed Travel Specialist who is passionate about improving the world through travel and communicating that enthusiasm with others. This role will require you to wear two hats - one on the consultative sales side and the other on the pre-trip coordination side. You will have direct contact with customers, using consultative sales to help them choose the right Discover Corps trip. You will be expected to speak to prospective clients for the majority of the day and regularly close sales, maintain a sales pipeline and meet monthly sales goals.

    You will also work closely with our customers throughout the pre-departure process, obtaining all travel documents and fielding their questions from the moment they book to when they depart for their travels followed by a post-trip debrief call. You will also help manage the 24-hour emergency response line while clients are on their trips.

    Throughout the sales and pre-trip coordination process, you will have an intimate, high-touch relationship with all customers providing excellent customer service, consistently with ownership and pride. The goal is to wow all travelers and maintain their loyalty for future travel.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

    • Possess the energy to become a WINNING SALESPERSON, be extremely organized in order to manage large amounts of critical information and convey a warm, friendly tone of voice when speaking and answering a customer’s inquiries.

    • Able to gain a comprehensive understanding of all 25+ trip itineraries and convey these details accurately and consistently to clients. Must communicate clearly and eloquently with an affluent customer base.

    • Understand and be able to speak wholeheartedly to every fiber of Discover Corps’ mission and travel experiences.

    • Ability to manage trip details and information relating to travel documents, visas, country entry & exit requirements.

    • MUST BE EXTREMELY ORGANIZED AND DETAIL-ORIENTED. Missing even the smallest details can lead to significant travel disruptions.

    • Must be comfortable making warm calls to prospective customers to sell & book travel

    • Ability to enter customer data into our customer relationship management system and maintain dynamic customer accounts.

    • Meet established sales targets

    IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE

    • Proven work experience in a travel-related environment

    • Excellent communication skills particularly over the phone and email

    • Passion for speaking on the phone with potential clients

    • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Excel & Word.

    • Strong sales skills

    • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.com

    • Ability to interact, communicate effectively and tactfully

    • Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends

    • Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field

    • Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
