    Job Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, effective communication and coordination with team members and clients to accurately post payments to the billing system. You will establish relationships with facilities and team members to obtain accurate information for payments received. You will access multiple online systems to assist in obtaining the necessary backup documentation for accurate posting. Good verbal and written communication are required. Record keeping must be acc urate and thorough. Flexibility with schedule so you can meet critical deadlines as established.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review data on insurance explanation of benefits (EOB’s) to ensure accurate payment posting.
    • Access necessary online portals to obtain payment documentation.
    • Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and facilities to obtain information necessary to post payments accurately.
    • Accurately utilize the billing system.
    • Review and reconcile deposits accurately.
    • Reconcile deposit accounts against the general ledger system monthly.
    • Process recurring credit card payment for facilities.
    • Maintain confidentiality of patient care and business.
    • Demonstrate strong, professional communication and interpersonal skills with clients, public, managers and co-workers.
    • Perform general office duties and keep desk clean and organized.
    • Maintain accurate and thorough records.
    • Demonstrate the ability to act as a team player in a professional and positive manner.

    THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE.

    Qualifications

    • Basic understanding of insurance terminology (out-of-network benefit s vs. in-network benefits, as well as coinsurance, co-pays, and deductibles), in addition to general billing practices.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • 1-year minimum healthcare experience with billing or insurance verification required.
    • Accounting experience preferred.
    • Experience with behavioral health treatment preferred.
    • Knowledge of SUD, IOP, and Mental Health programs.
    • Knowledge and experience with EMR, billing software programs and online portals required.
