    Job Description

    The INSURANCE CONTRACTING SPECIALIST is in contact with Healthcare providers and Multi-Specialty groups in accordance with corporate guidelines with the team goal of securing Single Case Agreements (SCA), insurance contracts and credentialing with healthcare providers. The Insurance Contracting Specialist reports to the Insurance Contracting and Payer Relations Supervisor as a member of the Insurance Contracting Department.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiates time sensitive, one-time payment agreements with providers to meet required turnaround times.
    • Communicates effectively with all parties involved in the SCA’s, insurance contracts and credentialing processes.
    • Researches and analyzes the healthcare market to identify providers for potential partnerships starting with an SCA and/or payer contract.
    • Secures SCA’s, insurance contracts and credentialing where needed in compliance with company templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls.
    • Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with providers.
    • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise.
    • Uses pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise.
    • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet strict deadlines.
    • Any other duties requested.

    THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION AT OUR CORPORATE OFFICE. THE HOURS FOR THIS ROLE ARE MON-FRI 8:30AM-5:00PM

    Qualifications

    • Comfortable making outbound calls to potential new healthcare providers
    • Proactive mentality
    • Strong phone presence
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Strong listening and presentation skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    • Medical knowledge / experience is desirable (claims, benefits, EMR systems (KIPU), SAP systems (Salesforce), contract negotiation)
