Job Title: Dishwasher

Job Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines and manual cleaning methods. This position ensures the kitchen, dining areas, and workstations remain clean, organized, and safe for staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing machine or by hand.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area, kitchen, and equipment.

• Ensure proper handling and storage of all kitchen tools and utensils.

• Take out trash, recycling, and properly dispose of waste.

• Sweep and mop floors in dishwashing and kitchen areas.

• Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries.

• Follow sanitation, safety, and food-handling guidelines at all times.

• Support kitchen staff by restocking supplies and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting preferred but not required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.

• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Work Environment:
Dishwashers typically work in restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, or catering services. The role requires working in hot, humid, and busy environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals.
