Job Summary

Country Waffles Livermore, located at 6049 Northfront Road, Livermore, CA 94551, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our team.

The primary responsibility is to efficiently wash, sanitize and put away dishes, cookware, glassware and utensils while keeping the dishwashing area clean, safe and organized. During lighter periods, this team member will also help bus and reset tables, maintain the dining area and support the front-of-house team.

Our restaurant is open from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The usual shift is approximately 8:30 AM to 2:00 or 2:30 PM, including closing cleanup. Some weekday shifts may start earlier when additional bussing or restaurant support is needed.

Responsibilities

Remove food and debris from plates, cookware and utensils

Pre-rinse and load dishes, glasses, utensils and cookware into the dishwasher

Operate the dishwasher safely and efficiently

Unload clean items and return them to the proper storage areas

Clean and maintain restrooms(2-3 times a day and as needed), including sink areas, toilets, floors, ensuring restroom supplies are stocked

Maintain an efficient supply of clean dishes during busy service periods

Keep the dishwashing station clean, organized and free of clutter

Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, racks and surrounding work areas

Clear, clean and reset tables during lighter dishwashing periods

Bring dirty dishes from the dining area to the dish station

Keep the dining room, entry and bussing areas clean and organized

Refill basic dining-room supplies as directed

Sweep and mop kitchen and restaurant floors

Empty trash and recycling and replace liners

Monitor detergent, sanitizer and cleaning-supply levels

Complete closing duties, including cleaning equipment, work areas and floors

Follow all food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety requirements

Assist servers, cooks and managers with other restaurant-support duties as needed

Qualifications

Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant

Friendly and comfortable working around guests

Positive attitude and willingness to support both front- and back-of-house teams

Strong attention to cleanliness, organization and detail

Able to stand for extended periods and bend, reach and lift repeatedly

Able to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds

Available for daytime shifts, including weekends and holidays

Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required
