Job Summary Maize Cocina & Cocktails, new Mexican fusion restaurant opening in the heart of Westfield, NJ is Hiring! We are looking for Dishwashers to complete our team!

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, sheet pans, pots, pans, utensils, and baking equipment through manual and machine cleaning methods.

Responsibilities

Wash sheet pans, dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans or all equipment used for production using dishwasher machine or by hand if necessary.

Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.

Place clean pans, utensils, and cooking equipment in the assigned storage areas.

Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.

Clean garbage cans with water or steam

Maintain cleanliness of equipment, refrigeration, tables, etc. (including weekly deep cleaning).

Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside as needed.

Ensure compliance with local health department and other regulations.

Follow proper open/close protocols.

Flexibility to cover open shifts if needed.

Assist in training new dishwashers.

Assist in general tasks as specified by Executive Chef and CDC.

Qualifications

1+ years of experience as dishwasher in an upscale casual restaurant kitchen

Safe Serve Food Handlers License

Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time

Ability to carry up to 25lb

English or Spanish fluency

Ability to work evening, weekends and holidays

Ability to go up and down the stairs during the shift
