Ponzu Sushi in Palm Springs is seeking a strong Dishwasher / Prep Cook to support our kitchen team. This hybrid role is essential to the success of our daily operations and plays a key part in maintaining flow and efficiency throughout service.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for keeping up with dish volume during lunch and happy hour service, assisting with food prep, and supporting the line as needed. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong time management, attention to cleanliness, and a consistent sense of urgency.
Responsibilities
Maintain dish flow during service, ensuring all kitchen tools and equipment are clean and available
Assist with food prep tasks as directed by the kitchen team
Support line cooks during service when needed
Keep dish pit, prep areas, and kitchen clean and organized
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong work ethic and reliability
Good time management and ability to multitask
Attention to cleanliness and organization
Basic understanding of food safety practices preferred
Riverside County Food Handlers Certification
