    Job description:

    Responsibilities

    Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards

    Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment through proper washing and sanitizing procedures

    Support the kitchen team during meal service by ensuring timely dishwashing and food handling

    Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure proper storage of ingredients and prepared foods

    Help with basic menu planning tasks by organizing ingredients and preparing components for upcoming meals

    Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health regulations

    Assist with catering setups or special event food service as needed, ensuring high standards of presentation and hygiene

    Experience

    Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued

    Experience working in food service, restaurants, or the food industry provides a strong foundation for success in this role

    Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards is highly desirable

    Culinary experience or skills such as knife handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques are advantageous

    Familiarity with menu planning, food presentation, and catering operations can enhance your contribution to the team

    Prior kitchen experience or restaurant work demonstrates ability to thrive in fast-paced environments involving food preparation and serving
