We're looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Interns to support our sales team through the development of qualified leads that result in achieving our business goals. If you're looking for career growth, this position will provide you with the training needed for a future in sales.
Your role will include conducting outbound prospecting campaigns (both call and e-mail) and processing inbound sales inquiries to identify sales opportunities. You will work closely with the sales team to qualify leads and move them through the sales funnel.
This is a temporary non-exempt role that reports to the Business Development Manager. Summer interns will work 30-40 hours per week from May 24- August 20.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

Generate new business opportunities to fuel the pipeline in an assigned vertical or territory in partnership with an assigned sales team
Outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and marketing campaigns
Uncover a prospects’ business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities, while highlighting the Dispatch value proposition
Develop an in-depth understanding of Dispatch, industry trends, and competition
Manage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using our CRM
Work closely with sales management to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business
Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and make recommendations to more effectively close sales and ensure customer loyalty
Work effectively with internal departments to deliver the best solution for the client and ensure an excellent experience
Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with an interest in Sales, Marketing, or Business
Proficiency in English
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate at multiple levels of the organization
A customer service orientation, problem solving, and relationship building skills (required)
Ability to work independently, take direction, take ownership and complete work
Google Suite experience (preferred)
High degree of accuracy, care and attention to detail
