    DHMT / Office Coordinator - LAB/QC (.5 fte EMT and .5 fte OC/QC)

    DispatchHealth is looking for a DHMT / Office Coordinator to join our growing team for the RALEIGH - DURHAM, NC market.

    The DHMT / Office Coordinator at DispatchHealth works with our clinical teams both in the field and assisting with general coordination of the local office / clinical dispatch center. The DHMT / Office Coordinator will support the clinical delivery team, perform standard medical back-office functions, oversee vehicles and curate office technology.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    EMT JOB DUTIES - .5 FTE

    • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
    • IV starts and blood draws
    • Splint application
    • Wound care
    • Work directly with point-of-care laboratory equipment, including operation, calibration and maintenance
    • Perform EKGs
    • Assist NP/PAs in the daily functions of a mobile emergency unit
    • Documentation
    • Supply and stocking

    OFFICE COORDINATION - .5 FTE

    • Office supplies – order and maintaining inventory
    • Furniture
    • Cleaning / trash removal / medical waste coordination
    • Office keys for new employees
    • Other duties as assigned

    Clinical Administration

    • Scanning Clinical documents
    • Clinical inventory
    • Receiving and coordinating with Inventory Manager
    • Maintain par levels
    • Stocking
    • Kit creation & updates
    • Kit maintenance
    • Manage employees in Orbits system (add/remove as needed)
    • Training manual updates
    • Update and maintain all lab supply's and temperature logs
    • Keep logs of every QC
    • Make sure temperature logs are within ranges and fridges are operating correctly
    • Other duties as assigned

    Vehicles

    • Cars spin up
    • Car wrap
    • Toll/Parking coordination
    • Car configuration
    • Incident Reporting
    • Creating driver IDs through WEXonline
    • Other duties as assigned

    Technology

    • Local tech configuration
    • Machine maintenance
    • Other duties as assigned

    Lab QC

    • Train APPs for all lab tests
    • Update all clinical staff of lab changes- and teach during DHMT meetings
    • Create and maintain all lab manuals for rovers
    • QC all Lab supplies
    • Run Weekly i-STAT simulators
    • Maintain all temperature logs
    • Work closely with lab manager and lab director with any lab issues
    • Self-Audit lab
    • Enter and maintain all expiration dates for all supplies
    • Manage Kit Versioning when a new version is available
    • Take calls from the field to help problem solve lab questions and temperature deviations
    • Train DHMTs in the field
    • Update i-STAT QC reference ranges as needed
    • Maintain all test pouches
    • Ensure that "cheat sheets" are in every kit for every test
    • Participate on the lab conference call every 1st Friday of every month

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Medical Technician with IV Certification preferred (but will train)
    • EMT-B Certification with North Carolina License (NREMT a Plus)
    • 2 years' experience managing medical offices preferred
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
    • BLS, American Heart Association
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
    • Previous experience with Athena EMR a plus
    • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 pounds
    • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Ability to work full

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Experience or education in healthcare
    • Highly organized and task oriented
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to adapt to new computer systems quickly
    • Effective time management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Work cooperatively, positively, and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
    • Knowledge of local geography and market
    • Passion for redefining how healthcare is delivered
