    NURSE PRACTITIONER – TRAVEL AMBASSADOR

    We are hiring Nurse Practitioners – Travel Ambassadors with experience in ER, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine or Family Practice to join our growing team of ambassadors for clinical support nationwide at DispatchHealth. Nurse Practitioners, known as Advanced Practice Providers, team with EMTs and are equipped with everything needed to treat common to complex injuries and illnesses. Patients request care via the DispatchHealth website, mobile app, or by calling our Clinical Support Team. The support team deploys the Nurse Practitioner and EMT to the patient's home or office to provide comprehensive health assessments, including diagnosis, treatment and outcome management, for patients of all ages. Our innovative model includes laboratory studies, minor procedures, splinting, wound care, suturing, IV fluid and medication administration, facilitating specialist referrals and/or PCP follow-ups and whole-person care. Our multi-state licensed ambassadors also provide care virtually using our telehealth model partnered with EMTs deployed in markets across the country.

    DISPATCHHEALTH AMBASSADORS

    The Ambassadors are a team of multi-state licensed Advanced Practice Providers who are “dispatched” whether physically or virtually to help new market openings, during rapid growth and market expansion, and in times of need to staff for urgent coverage in established markets. A DispatchHealth Ambassador may also be utilized during peak times of productivity to help meet patient demand. Ambassadors for DispatchHealth will work closely with the Lead Ambassador who will determine which states the Ambassador should obtain licensure. All assignments for the Ambassador will come from the Lead Ambassador based on the current needs throughout each market and projected market openings. This role requires the ability to travel frequently, up to 100% travel shifts, but may include virtual telehealth visits. This role requires the ability to be flexible and the ability to adapt in new environments.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Travel up to 100%, unless providing coverage for telehealth virtual visits.
    • All travel expenses paid for by DispatchHealth
    • Ability to work FT hours, dependent on staffing needs
    • Obtain/maintain multi-state licenses, all licensing fees paid for by DispatchHealth
    • Work 4-7 clinical shifts consecutively per stint of travel.
    • Report to the APP Lead Ambassador for travel assignments and new state licensing requirements
    • Submitting licensure documents in a timely manner in conjunction with Licensing Specialist
    • Submitting expenses in an organized and timely manner within 30 days

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least 2 years of experience in the ED, UC or family practice

    • Current unrestricted state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner nationally board certified (current)

    • Current BLS/ACLS certification

    • Prescriptive authority and DEA required

    • Competencies, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to document in electronic medical record, ensuring completeness and accuracy

    • Ability to adopt and champion technological tools to optimize provider workflow

    • Ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with others to achieve common goals

    • Ability to comply with PPE based on DispatchHealth policy and CDC guidelines

    • Cultural competency

    • Knowledge and ability to perform therapeutic interventions such as splinting, suturing, wound care and minor surgical procedures

    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

    • Critical thinking skills utilizing evidence-based standards of practice

    • Expertise in clinical skills related acute care, chronic conditions and injuries

    • Ability to identify and proactively solve problems

    • Ability to thrive in a patient-focused environment

    • Previous leadership experience preferred
