Position Summary
The Dispatcher plays a critical role in monitoring and responding to alarm activity while ensuring timely and professional communication with emergency services and customers. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond promptly to alarm signals, dispatching emergency services as required.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing incoming inquiries and service requests professionally.
- Accurately verify and dispatch alarms to appropriate police, fire, or emergency response agencies.
- Ensure adherence to company and Central Station operational policies and procedures.
- Consistently meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards.
- Perform basic updates and data entry for customer accounts.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, computer, and telephone skills.
- Successfully complete the TMA Level 1 certification course within 90 days of employment (mandatory for continued employment).
- Must work weekends and holiday hours as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one year of customer service or related experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications or willingness and ability to learn.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
Work Requirements:
- Position is considered sedentary and requires extended periods of PC exposure.
