About the Role: Barker & Sons Dispatchers drive our daily schedules, serve as a bridge between our call center and plumbing technicians, and ensure the right technicians are assigned to each job. They must manage a constant flow of communication seamlessly, build relationships with customers, technicians, and staff, and harmoniously orchestrate our daily appointment board, aligning and prioritizing work based on enduring criteria and daily objectives, and see every open action through to completion. Supported with top-tier training, well-established internal procedures, and ongoing coaching by top industry professionals with the NexStar Service Professional network, our dispatchers are the top of the game and always getting better. Responsibilities: • Coordinate daily schedules to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. • Serve as the primary communication link between our call center and plumbing technicians. • Assign the right technician to each job, considering skills, location, and customer needs. • Maintain clear, open communication with customers to provide updates and resolve inquiries. • Monitor and adjust the appointment board to align with daily objectives and priorities. • Build and nurture relationships with customers, technicians, and internal staff. • Ensure all actions and tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner, fostering trust and reliability in our service delivery. Qualifications: • Experience in dispatching or coordinating in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring urgent and profitable calls are addressed promptly. • Proven track record of building strong customer relationships and delivering high-quality customer service. • Excellent communication skills to provide technicians with accurate information and updates. • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and requirements of multiple technicians efficiently. • Proficiency in documenting service call outcomes and preparing concise reports for management. • Ability to resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly, maintaining professionalism and brand image at all times. Compensation: $26 - $29 hourly
